Killingly, CT — A 27-year-old Plainfield woman was arrested Sunday morning after she forced her way into a Church Street residence and used brass knuckles to assault another woman for having an alleged relationship with her husband.
According to the Connecticut State Police, at approximately 4:10 AM on Sunday, June 15th, 2025, Troopers assigned to Troop D were dispatched to a residence on Church Street in Killingly for a reported break-in and physical assault.
Through the troopers’ on-scene investigation and statements from the victim, they determined that 27-year-old Giana Garcia of Plainfield believed the victim had a relationship with her husband. Garcia allegedly arrived at the Church Street residence, rammed the victim’s vehicle with her own, forced her way into the apartment, and struck the victim in the head multiple times with brass knuckles before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to an area hospital by EMS.
Garcia later turned herself in at Troop D, where she was processed and released on a $15,000 bond for the following charges:
- Carrying a Dangerous Weapon (C.G.S. 53-206)
- Home Invasion (C.G.S. 53a-100aa)
- Burglary in the First Degree at Nighttime (C.G.S. 53a-101(a)(3))
- Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree (C.G.S. 53a-117)
- Breach of Peace in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-181)
- Assault in the Second Degree with a Weapon (C.G.S. 53a-60(a)(2))
- Threatening in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-62(a(1)))
- Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-63)
- Reckless Driving (C.G.S. 14-222)
- Evading Responsibility (C.G.S. 14-224(b)(3))
