Putnam, CT – A 30-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning following an investigation into the April Florence St stabbing.

At approximately 8:23 AM on April 14th, 2024, officers were dispatched to a reported stabbing in the area of Florence St and Farrows St. A 24-year-old man was transported to Day Kimball Hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds to the legs. Investigator later determined the victim and assailant knew each other and this was not a random act of violence. Read our article on the original incident here.

According to the Putnam Police Department, at approximately 10:15 AM on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, Detectives from the Putnam Police Department served an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Isaiah D. Snell, who was last known to reside in Killingly, as he attended court at the Danielson Superior Courthouse. Snell is currently incarcerated at Corrigan Correctional Center on unrelated charges.

Regarding the Florence St Stabbing Snell is charged with Assault 2nd Degree (53a-60) and is held on a $50,000 bond (for this crime only).

According to the Connecticut Department of Justice Database, since 2013 Isaiah D. Snell has been previously convicted of the following crimes and served multiple years in prison:

  • Felony
    • Sale Of Controlled Substance (21a-277(b))
    • Burglary 3rd Degree (53a-103)
  • Misdemeanor
    • Strangulation/Suffocation 3rd Degree (53a-64cc)
    • Possession of a Control Substance 1st Offence (21a-279(a)(1))
    • 2 x Assault 3rd Degree (53a-61)
    • Larceny 6Th Degree (53a-125b)
    • Breach Of Peace 2nd Degree (53a-181)
    • 2 x Failure To Appear 2nd Degree (53a-173)
    • Breach Of Peace 2nd Degree (53a-181)
  • Unclassified
    • 4 x Violation Of Probation (53a-32)
