Killingly, CT / Bow, NH — A now 37-year-old Bow, New Hampshire man was arrested on an active warrant after he stole his vehicle from the Knox Towing lot less than two hours after being released on a $2,500 non-surety bond for DUI charges.
According to the State Police, at approximately 2:53 AM on June 28, 2025, troopers were dispatched to reports of an unoccupied vehicle in the middle of Bailey Road in Killingly. A then 36-year-old Bow, New Hampshire man was located sitting on Bailey Road. He refused medical treatment and also refused to take a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) test, enacting an “Administrative Per Se”, which initiates the automatic license suspension (24 hours for Class D drivers over 21 years old) for any driver who refuses to submit to a BAC test or whose test results indicate an elevated BAC. His vehicle, a red 2024 Nissan Sentra, was towed by Knox Towing to be held until the towing and storage fees were paid. He was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond at approximately 7:30 AM on the following charges:
- Illegal Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs (C.G.S. 14-227a)
- Improper Parking (C.G.S. 14-251(b))
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (C.G.S. 21a-279(a)(1))
According to an arrest warrant obtained by Quiet Corner Alerts, at approximately 9:36 AM on June 28, 2025, troopers were dispatched to Knox Towing, 148 Margaret Henry Road, for reports that an employee had arrived at work to find their gate heavily damaged. Security camera footage revealed an individual matching the build and clothing the New Hampshire man had been wearing less than two hours earlier at Troop D, entering the property, accessing his vehicle, a red 2024 Nissan Sentra, and driving the vehicle through a chain-link fence gate. His license was still held by the police and was in a suspended status due to his earlier charges.
Nearly six months later, an arrest warrant was executed, and the man was taken into custody on December 16, 2025. He was released on a $15,000 cash/surety bond for the following charges:
- Operating a Motor Vehicle Under Suspension (C.G.S. 14-215)
- Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree (C.G.S. 53a-109)
- Criminal Mischief Second Degree (C.G.S. 53a-116)
- Larceny 6th Degree (C.G.S. 53a-125b)
