Thompson, CT — A 57-year-old Thompson man was killed Saturday night about a mile from his home after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Fabyan Road.

According to the Connecticut State Police, at approximately 7:40 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, a 2006 Harley-Davidson Street Glide operated by a 57-year-old man residing on Fabyan Road was traveling North on Fabyan Road when it collided head-on with a 2020 Toyota 4Runner operated by a 44-year-old woman from Canterbury who was traveling South.

The West Thompson Fire Department, Community Fire Company, Putnam EMS, Woodstock EMS, and a KB Ambulance paramedic responded to the scene. A landing zone was established by the Quinebaug Volunteer Fire Department for a LifeFlight helicopter. Due to the motorcycle operator’s critical injuries, he was transported to Day Kimball Hospital, where the helicopter had diverted. However, the man succumbed to his injuries before he could be flown out. The driver of the 4Runner was also transported to Day Kimball Hospital with minor injuries. The passenger of the 4Runner was uninjured in the accident.
