Killingly/Woodstock, CT – As the sun rose over Davis Park Tuesday morning, a set of tire tracks was the only indication of the commotion that Danielson residents witnessed Monday evening as State Troopers pursued assault suspects through town. Troopers had attempted to stop the vehicle several times earlier in the day but did not pursue.
At approximately 11 PM on Monday, March 24th, 2025, Troopers spotted a Dodge Dakota with a smashed rear window, partially repaired with Duck Tape, traveling East on Ennis Rd in Brooklyn. Area police departments had been on the lookout for the vehicle and its known operator after they were involved in a disturbance on Sabin St in Putnam and an assault on Route 169 in Woodstock.
According to the Connecticut State Police (CSP), Troopers initially spotted the vehicle on Route 169 in Pomfret and later on Reynolds St in Danielson, but the vehicle eluded them during both attempts to stop [weather conditions were not suitable for a pursuit during the first two attempts].

When the vehicle was spotted in Brooklyn, Troopers made an attempt to box it in as it traveled towards the Route 6/Maple St. intersection. As the Troopers activated their lighting and sirens, the vehicle drove over a curb, escaping the box and fleeing, which began a pursuit. The pursuit traveled up Main St with the vehicle driving erratically, with no headlights, nearly stiking cruisers head-on in the opposite lane. As the pursuit approached Davis Park, the vehicle left the roadway and drove through the grass before returning to the roadway.
The vehicle came to a stop at 304 Main St, Bank of America, where all suspects exited the vehicle and surrendered.
For the pursuit, 34-year-old Tylor Lewis of Killingly was arrested and held on a $15,000 cash surety or 7% bond for the following charges:
- Reckless Driving (C.G.S 14-222)
- Engaging Police in a Pursuit (C.G.S 14-223(b)**)
- Improper Passing – Unsafe Distance (C.G.S 14-232(a)(1))
- Failure to Drive in the Proper Lane (C.G.S 14-236)
- Failure to Obey a Stop Sign (C.G.S 14-301)
- Failure to Display Lights (C.G.S 14-96(a))
- Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree (C.G.S 53a-63)
For the Assault, Lewis was arrested and held on a $20,000 cash bond for the following charges
- Assault 3rd Degree (C.G.S 53a-61)
- Threatening 2nd Degree – Physical Threat (C.G.S 53a-62(a)(1))
- Unlawful Restraint 2nd Degree (C.G.S 53a-96)
- Use of Drug Paraphernalia (C.G.S 21a-267(a))
- Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree (C.G.S 53a-116)
- Disorderly Conduct (C.G.S 53a-182)
Additionally, 33-year-old Tyler Fafard of Groton was arrested for his involvement in the Woodstock Assault. He was held on a $15,000 bond for the following charges:
- Assault 3rd Degree (C.G.S 53a-61)
- Sexual Assault 4th Degree (C.G.S 53a-73a)
- Threatening 2nd Degree – Physical Threat (C.G.S 53a-62(a)(1))
- Unlawful Restraint 2nd Degree (C.G.S 53a-96)
- Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree (C.G.S 53a-116)
- Disorderly Conduct (C.G.S 53a-182)
