Putnam, CT – A Killingly man was arrested on several drug charges after State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a damaged vehicle which they observed conducting suspicious activities.
According to the Connecticut State Police (CSP), at approximately 2:55 PM on Friday, January 24th, 2025, CSP Troopers observed the occupants of a damaged 2015 Ford Fusion conducting suspicious activity in the area. A traffic stop was conducted on School St, Troopers identified several indicators of narcotics activities such as torn baggies, a digital scale, and blue pills “resembling Oxycodone”.
35-year-old Mark R Heath of Killingly was arrested, charged, and held on a $5,000 bond for the following charges:
- Use of Drug Paraphernalia (C.G.S. 21a-267(a))
- Possession of Controlled Substances 2nd Offence (C.G.S. 21a-279(a)(2))
Additionally, Heath is currently awaiting trial for a Felony second-degree robbery (G.L. 11-39-1(b)) charge stemming from the 2023 Robbery of a Foster, RI Gas Station which led to the officer-involved shooting of Heath’s partner in Dayville. Heath was extradited to Rhode Island in January of 2024 after being apprehended by the U.S. Marshals for the above charges.
