Killingly, CT — At least five small businesses in the Dayville area were targeted in attempted or successful burglaries early Sunday morning.

According to the owner of Crowe’s Nest — 165 Hartford Pike, on Sunday, December 15, 2025, it was discovered that someone had forced their front door open and unplugged the security camera, but ended up not stealing anything. The owners had cleared out the cash register before closing, so there was no cash on the premises. A door to the ECRC Physical Therapy, in the same building, appeared to have been attempted to be forced, but they were apparently unsuccessful.

According to the Connecticut State Police, during the overnight hours, burglars entered Black Pond Brewery — 1001 Hartford Pike, and made off with a safe containing $3,425 in cash and $3,517.45 in checks. The burglary was discovered in the morning.

According to the Golden Greek Restaurant — 474 Putnam Pike, intruders broke into the business early Sunday morning but were scared away by the alarm system. In a video shared on Facebook, two masked individuals are seen attempting to access a doorway before fleeing.

The night before, at approximately 2:43 AM on Saturday, December 14, 2025, a vehicle rammed the front glass door of Dayville Farm’s Convenience and Tobacco. Read our full article on the incident here.

The State Police have indicated that troopers and the Killingly Police Department continue to investigate all incidents, and it is currently unclear if these burglaries are related.
