Brooklyn/Killingly, CT — A vehicle that was stolen from a Brooklyn residence overnight was found abandoned in Killingly several hours later.

At approximately 3 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, troopers were dispatched to reports of a stolen vehicle from a South Main Street residence. Troopers responded and officially marked the vehicle as stolen in the Connecticut On-Line Law Enforcement Communications Teleprocessing (COLLECT) database, allowing any queries by other departments and license plate reader detections to alert on the plate or VIN.

At approximately 6:20 AM on Wednesday morning, the owner of a business on North Main Street, Killingly, arrived at their property and found the vehicle abandoned on the side of the road. Troopers and Killingly Constables responded to North Main Street and processed the vehicle for evidence.

The State Police were unable to confirm if any suspects have been identified. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Troop D at 860-779-4900.
