Killingly, CT — A 35-year-old Killingly man who was wanted on drug charges in Putnam led Troop D Troopers on a back road pursuit through East Killingly Friday night.

At approximately 11 PM on Friday, August 8th, 2025, while responding to a call on Valley Rd, Troopers spotted a vehicle believed to be operated by 35-year-old Joshua W Krajewski traveling on Route 101. The vehicle had missused plates and was swerving in a manner consistent with impaired driving. Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the operator continued, beginning a pursuit.

The pursuit continued (in no particular order) on Valley Road, Ware Road, Chestnut Hill Road, and Mason Hill Road, as additional Troopers attempted to get ahead of the vehicle to deploy stop sticks. The fleeing vehicle finally turned down Christopher Way, a dead-end road, where the operator bailed from the vehicle and fled on foot. Troopers pursued into the woods on foot, quickly apprehending the operator, who was confirmed to be Joshua W Krajewski.

Krajewski’s active warrant from Putnam consisted of:

  • 2x Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense (C.G.S. 21a-279(a)(1))
  • Use of Drug Paraphernalia (C.G.S. 21a-267(a))

For Friday night’s pursuit, Krajewski was charged with:

  • Engaging Police in a Pursuit
  • Operation of a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs
  • Interference with an Officer/Resisting Arrest
  • Improper Use of a Marker/License/Registration

Krajewski is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.

In 2021, Krajewski was convicted in two separate cases of Robbery 2nd Bank/Credit Union Employee (C.G.S. 53a-135(a)(2)) for 2018 bank robberies in Vernon and Coventry, CT. He was sentenced to four and six years in jail, respectively.
