Killingly, CT — A 16-year-old was arrested Sunday afternoon after residents reported seeing him walking in the area holding what appeared to be a firearm.

According to the Connecticut State Police, at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, the Killingly Police Department and troopers assigned to Troop D responded to the area of Main Street and Winter Street for reports of an individual waving what was believed to be a firearm.

Upon investigation, it was determined the individual was a 16-year-old in possession of a loaded BB gun. The juvenile was taken into custody and charged in connection with the incident.

Due to the individual’s age, limited information regarding the charges has been released.
