Pomfret, CT — A 36-year-old Warwick woman was seriously injured and flown to a trauma center Monday after colliding with an SUV on Route 44.

According to the Connecticut State Police, at approximately 5:06 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025, a 2023 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST operated by a 36-year-old woman from Warwick, RI, was traveling east on Putnam Road (Route 44) when it collided with a 2021 Honda CR-V LX operated by a 38-year-old man from Putnam.

The motorcycle rider was transported to Day Kimbal Hospital and immediately flown via LifeFlight to UMass Memorial Trauma Center with serious injuries.

Route 44 was closed until approximately 10:30 PM while the Connecticut State Police Troop D and Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad (CARS) conducted their investigation.
