Lisbon, CT — A 28-year-old motorcyclist was flown to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a turning vehicle on Route 12 Tuesday morning.
At approximately 11:03 AM on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, the Lisbon Fire Department, Troop E Troopers, and an American Ambulance paramedic were dispatched to the area of 689 River Rd, Lisbon, for a car versus motorcycle collision.
Upon arrival, units reported the motorcyclist appeared to have been ejected from his bike and was under another vehicle. A LIFESTAR air medical helicopter was requested to a nearby landing zone.
According to the Connecticut State Police, a 2019 Nissan Rogue, operated by a 36-year-old Norwich woman, was traveling Northbound on River Road, attempting to make a left turn into TMR Automotive Repair. A 2025 Honda CBR600RR, operated by a 28-year-old Norwich man, attempted to pass on the left side, colliding with the Nissan before striking several unoccupied vehicles.
The motorcyclist was flown by LIFESTAR to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries. The operator and passenger of the Nissan were transported to William W Backus Hospital with minor injuries.
