Killingly, CT — Two Killingly men were arrested Monday afternoon after assaulting the landlord of the Hartford Pike property, from which they had been evicted months earlier.

According to the Connecticut State Police, at approximately 1:40 PM on Monday, May 5th, 2025, Troopers were dispatched to a Hartford Pike residence for reports of an individual struck over the head by a blunt object and threatened with a knife. Troopers arrived to find a 67-year-old victim, who was discovered to be the property owner, bleeding from the head. One of the assailants,19-year-old Ayden Williams, was still on scene, but another, 50-year-old Jonathan Williams, had fled on foot.

Troopers on scene investigation determined that the victim and another individual had gone to the residence to perform an inspection. Jonathan reportedly spoke to them through the door, they informed him he had been evicted months prior, causing him to become belligerent. Jonathan opened the door, brandishing a knife (later found to be a box cutter) and threatened to kill both the property owner and the person accompanying him. Troopers learned that during the altercation, a glass bottle was thrown from inside by Ayden Williams, striking the victim in the head.

Ayden Williams was arrested on the scene without incident while a K9 track and patrols were initiated to locate Jonathan Williams. Initial reports from the scene led troopers to believe Jonathan had fled south along the railroad tracks towards Danielson. After approximately an hour of searching, he was located and taken into custody without further incident. He was located with a box cutter on him, and a warrant search revealed seven active warrants for various charges.
