Thompson, CT – For the second time in 4 months troopers and K9 teams responded to the area of Brandy Hill Rd and Quaddick Town Farm Rd for a man walking through backyards.
According to the Connecticut State Police (CSP), at approximately 11:39 AM on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, Troop D received a call for a man walking through backyards in the area of Brandy Hill Rd. The man was later identified as 36-year-old Christopher Sargent, of Brandy Hill Rd, who is well known to law enforcement and residents in the area. Sargent also had an active warrant for his arrest regarding a Larceny that occurred at the Putnam Walmart, 625 School St, on May 23rd, 2024.
When confronted by area residents, Sargent fled on foot. K9 Boss was deployed and tracked Sargent to 516 Brandy Hill Rd, where he is known to reside. Troopers verbally ordered him out of the residence which he complied with. During a search of his person, as a result of his arrest, he was found to have crack/cocaine on him. Sargent was charged with the below charges and released on a $7,500 bond and is scheduled to appear at Danielson Superior Court on 7/18/24.
- Burglary in the 3rd Degree (C.G.S. 53a-103)
- Interfering with Police (C.G.S. 53a-167a)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (C.G.S. 21a-279)
- Criminal Trespass 1st Degree (C.G.S. 53a-107)
- Larceny in the 6th Degree (C.G.S. 53a-125b)
- Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree (C.G.S. 53a-181)
Sargent is also due at Danielson Superior Court on 7/15/24 for charges stemming from an April 13th, 2024 incident where K9 Boss was deployed and successfully tracked him from a Quaddick Town Farm Rd yard to the same Brandy Hill Rd residence.
