Plainfield, CT — The Plainfield Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting on Sachem Drive, where a thirteen-year-old was nearly struck by gunfire.
According to the Plainfield Police Department, at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, officers received multiple reports of gunshots being fired from a vehicle in the area.
Officers responded and determined that a multi-family condominium had been struck by gunfire. Officers made contact with all occupants and confirmed that no one was injured.
Through the investigation, it was determined that multiple shots had been fired, one of which nearly struck a thirteen-year-old while they were in their bedroom.
Police have not released additional details regarding a possible target or suspect vehicle at this time.
