Webster, MA – Firefighters and Police Officers assisted with multiple rescues during a 2nd alarm fire early Saturday morning.
At approximately 3:20 AM on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025, Webster Fire, EMS, and Police were dispatched to 233-235 N Main St for reports of a structure fire. When police officers arrived on scene they found heavy smoke on the 3rd floor with multiple occupants trying to evacuate.

Minutes later firefighters arrived and immediately worked to bring an attack line to the 3rd floor. As crews ascended the 3rd floor stairwell they encountered additional residents still working to evacuate and quickly shifted to rescue operations. Once all occupants were out of the building the crew went back to fire attack and quickly knocked the fire down with the bulk of the damage being contained to a single room.
No injuries were reported during the incident. The American Red Cross was requested to assist two displaced residents.
The fire is under investigation by the Massachusetts State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The fire went to 2 Alarms bringing in responders from the Webster Fire Department, Webster EMS, Webster Police Department, Dudley Fire Department, Douglas Fire Department, Southbridge Fire Department, Charlton Fire Department, Sutton Fire Department, and the Quinebaug Volunteer Fire Department.
