Putnam, CT – The State Police are seeking the publics assistance identifying the suspect in Wednesday’s burglary at Wendy’s. Troopers suspect it may be a former employee.

According to the Connecticut State Police, at approximately 6:25 AM Troopers responded to 66 Providence Pike, Wendy’s, for a reported burglary.

When reviewing video footage and other evidence from the restaurant, Troopers determined the suspect is likely a former employee who possesses a key to the building and alarm codes. The suspect reportedly entered Wendy’s at approximately 5:04 AM, accessed a safe, and made off with approximately $2,100. It is unclear if the suspect fled in a vehicle or on foot.

The Connecticut State Police are asking anyone with information regarding the burglary or the suspect to contact TPR Caffrey #724 at Troop-D 860-779-4900.
