Warrant photo for Devin P O'Neil - CT Judicial Branch

Putnam, CT – The Connecticut State Police are searching for a wanted man in the wooded area between Five Mile River Rd and Chase Road Thursday afternoon.

According to the Connecticut State Police (CSP), Killingly Police were responding to a separate call when they spotted Devin O’Neill, who is known to them. When units attempted to contact him he fled into the woods. O’Neill is wanted on a Violation of Probation warrant and was last seen wearing a white shirt and carrying a backpack. He is a white male with brown hair and a goatee. Anyone spotting an individual matching this description is asked not to approach or engage this individual, but to call 911 immediately.

CSP Aviation Unit operating over East Putnam

Numerous special units are operating in the area including the CSP Drone Unit, CSP Aviation Unit, CSP K9 Teams, and Dayvile Fire Department’s drone. Crews began the search at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 13th, 2024.

2000 Update: O’Neill was last seen on North Rd in Killingly at 5:56 p.m.

2127: O’Neill has been captured on North Rd in Killingly. He is charged with Interfere With an Officer/resisting and Breach Of Peace 2nd Degree. His bond was set at $20,000.
