On Sunday, April 21st, 2024, numerous departments from the East Putnam Fire Department’s 1st alarm card, and surrounding region, participated in a tanker shuttle drill led by Atwood Hose Fire Chief Robert Duval.

During the drill Tankers filled from a water hole, established by the East Thompson, at the Five Mile River Rd bridge and transited to the dump location at the property across from Ross Recycling. Tankers were dumped into portable dump tanks where Thompson Hill’s Engine Tanker was drafting to supply water to Putnams Ladder.

Agencies that participated included the East Putnam Fire Department, Putnam Fire Department, East Thompson Volunteer Fire Department, Thompson Fire Engine Company, Central Village Fire Company, and the Attawaugan Fire Department.
