The remainder of this article contains details from an arrest warrant application describing the alleged incidents.
According to an arrest warrant application obtained by Quiet Corner Alerts, a 21-year-old woman reported to Connecticut State Police Troop D that during a Monday evening shift in January 2026, a new coworker, identified as Miguel Caamano, inappropriately touched her without consent, exposed himself to her, and later sent sexually explicit photos to her after the shift.
Investigators later reviewed store surveillance footage from the shift. According to the warrant, the footage showed Caamano repeatedly following the victim around the store, grabbing her arm as she attempted to walk away, holding onto her to turn her around, and reaching toward her butt while walking behind her.
Police later interviewed Caamano at his Killingly residence regarding the allegations.
When asked whether his zipper had been open while working, Caamano told officers he did not know but confirmed that he was not wearing underwear. When asked if it was possible his fly had been down during the shift, he reportedly responded, “maybe.” When asked if it was possible he had exposed himself, he reportedly added, “maybe, I don’t know,” stating that “I didn’t pull nothing out.” He later told officers that there had been “no intention of making her feel uncomfortable.”
Caamano admitted to sending the explicit photo but claimed it had been consensual. He denied brushing up against the victim and, when asked whether it was possible he had touched her arm or given her a high five, he reportedly stated “no.”
Caamano told officers he knew the victim prior to working at the store because he had previously been a customer there. He stated that she had given him her phone number, but did not indicate it had been provided for any specific purpose.
According to the warrant, the victim told police that Monday, January 19, 2026, was the first time she had met Caamano. At the beginning of the 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. shift, the store manager introduced the two employees. The manager reportedly told her she was friends with Caamano and not to take everything he said personally.
The manager left the store at approximately 2 p.m., leaving the two employees alone to finish the shift.
The victim told police that early in the shift, while making small talk, she mentioned she was looking for a new place to rent. Caamano told her he knew someone who had a place available, and the pair exchanged phone numbers so he could send information about the property
As the shift progressed, the victim told police she became increasingly uncomfortable with comments Caamano allegedly made about her appearance. She reported that he followed her around the store and stood overly close to her.
At one point during the shift, the victim entered the store’s freezer. According to the warrant, Caamano followed her inside and touched her butt without consent. She reportedly left the freezer quickly and attempted to stay away from him for the remainder of the shift.
While performing a task in the lobby, the victim told police that Caamano spoke to her, causing her to turn toward him. She observed that his fly was down and that he was not wearing underwear.
According to the warrant, Caamano repeatedly asked the victim to wait for him after the store closed. Instead, she finished her shift and left the store alone.
Later that evening, the victim reported receiving a text message from Caamano that read “you sleeping,” along with an explicit photo positioned next to a Dunkin’ iced coffee. According to the warrant, a follow-up message suggested the image referenced a conversation earlier in the shift and indicated that he expected her to reciprocate.
The victim told police she did not respond and never wanted the images.
The following day, the victim told the store manager she did not want to work with Caamano because he made her uncomfortable. She later explained the alleged incidents. According to the warrant, the manager contacted the district manager, prompting an internal investigation.
The district manager told police she immediately suspended Caamano after learning of the allegations and later met with him at another company location. During that meeting, Caamano denied that anything inappropriate had occurred but admitted to sending the photo, claiming it had been consensual, though he could not provide proof.
According to the warrant, other employees later reported that this was not the first time Caamano had been fired from a local coffee shop for inappropriate behavior toward women.
During a follow-up interview with the victim, she told investigators about another interaction earlier in the shift. She said Caamano had approached her, slammed down a Dunkin’ medium coffee cup, and stated, “if you were wondering how big it is,” before walking away. She told police she became frightened due to the physical size difference between them and attempted to avoid him for the rest of the shift.
The warrant application states that Caamano has no criminal record in Connecticut but has prior felony convictions in New York. Those convictions include criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a loaded firearm in the third degree, aggravated harassment in the second degree, robbery in the first degree, robbery in the second degree, and grand larceny in the fourth degree.
Miguel Caamano was arrested and later released on a $10,000 bond with a condition that he have no contact with the victim.
He faces the following charges:

- Disorderly Conduct
