Oxford, Mass. — At approximately 2:17 am on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023, a second alarm assignment was struck for a confirmed structure fire at 8 Dolge Court. The caller reported smoke and flames were coming from an attached garage.

Minutes later, an Oxford Police Officer arrived on the scene and confirmed heavy fire was showing from the garage of a split-level ranch. The officer was able to confirm all occupants were out of the structure and accounted for.

Firefighters knocked the bulk of the fire down within approximately 20 minutes, from the time of the call, keeping the majority of the damage contained to the garage. Crews remained on the scene for over an hour overhauling.

Due to the structure being outside of the hydranted district, companies relied on tankers to supply water to the fire scene.

No injuries resulted from the incident.

Agencies that responded, or were dispatched, included Oxford IAFF Local 4634, Auburnmassfire, Charlton Fire Department — MA, Webster Fire / Rescue Massachusetts, Dudley Fire Department, Town of Leicesterma Fire, Leicester EMS, Spencer Fire & Emergency Services.
