At approximately 8:40 a.m. on Friday, July 7th, 2023, the Worcester Police Department was dispatched to 51 Colby Ave for reports of multiple parties shot in a domestic situation. Upon arrival, officers found the 2 victims, one shot in the leg and forearm and the other in the hand, in their vehicle on a nearby road.
As additional officers arrived on the scene they made contact with the suspect who appeared to be surrendering. The suspect then shot at officers with a handgun before fleeing back towards the residence.
Tactical units and negotiators are in the area working to bring the situation to a resolution.
No responders are reported to have been injured at this point in time.
The public is being asked to avoid the area.
